The Seahog for ChernayaAkula!

Nice one - that looks very buildable, possibly using the old box-scale Revell Mariner for the hull and tail.  8)

It was custom-built for the OA-10A.  It does bear some similarities, though.

Cheers,

For the 1:48 builder a partial component list for a Norwegian AF Warthog
1.  Tamiya A-10, second edition. FSD model easier to modify and be both obvious and subtle
2.  Archer's resin rivets to add missing detail
3.  Chaff/flare dispensers of your own design
4.  Hasegawa Japanese weapons set for the ASM-1 and 2, later rather modified.

More to come: seat, ip/HUD, ECM, pods, etc.

At the current time Tamiya Warthogs often found at shows quite inexpensively.   Mine, for instance, was part of a two-for-$15 deal, the other kit being a Tamiya F-15J.

That's exactly what I thought this afternoon when perusing through the Monogram and Tamiya (gen. 1) A-10's in the stash.

How about a Japanese or South Korean A-10?

Ever read "Red Phoenix" by Larry Bond?  Its about a fictional 2nd Korean War in the 1980's and guess what the South Koreans have plinking tanks?  A-10s!!!  8)

Great read by the way if you haven't had the chance.  Reads a bit like Red Storm Rising  8)

How about a <...> South Korean A-10?

In SEA wrap-around or the cool camo they use on their Ka-32 Helix!  :)

Yeah.  :) Can you imagine grey digital camo on a ROKAF A-10?   I was looking over some colour photos of N. Korea and with all those mountains thought grey digi would be perfect for them.  What I have in mind is similar to the pattern currently used on the Ukrainian Su-25's  Blue 06 and Blue 07 as recently seen on somebody's FB page.
