Given there is a 1/72 kit available now and which a few have acquired, I thought it was time this unique aircraft had a thread of its own for ideas and inspiration.

What's often overlooked is that this aircraft was designed to be VTOL (lift engines can be seen below) + had ability to operate from both water and land:

I know very little about this aircraft, but I like the shape of it. Does it have enough internal space to fit water/chemical tanks for fire fighting?

It was basically an Anti-Submarine Aircraft - you can read a little about it here (http://www.g1886.com/bartini-beriev-vva-14/). I suppose one could turn the pontoons into water carrying pods.
