the colors are just that I like red yellow and blue, and a single color makes the shape more visible  ;)

Looks airworthy though not practical for much.   Could it be a crop duster (good visibility) ?
Interesting you post this now.  Yesterday was sizing wing swap on 1/48 Ar-234 for possible 1/72 build.   Sized well but have SR-xx and others in work.

practicality may not be the main motivation indeed ;-)
rather a certain contrast between parts ...

Well said.   Looking seemingly airworthy is good enough.   Practicality may be there or not.
Hard to believe its been 11 years since Slowy Jet.

Looks airworthy to me.   Practical - not so much.

Ar234 & Walrus could be for commercial aerial photography, for search & rescue, carry crop dusting gear.   But who cares, contrast between parts works.

thanks for the backstory proposals, they all seem to have much potential !
I am not used to think of backstories, so I am not quite good at it.

and thanks a lot for the link to your 11 years old build : extremely impressive in its contrasts ! (and spats!)

B-29 converts to B-45 configuration.   Are those J57 engines ?

@EricR - Excellent combination of subjects and the scale-o-rama really does work well for this mash-up.
