I'm starting to assemble this MiniArt kit:

90% were the same blocks fitted to their M-60s with only a few new shapes in odd places.

from my friend in the IDF ....

The Tiran-1s (T-54) & Tiran-2 (T-55) were a convenient gap filler until they got more Western tanks & then the Merkava. They were "ok" refitted with the West's gun but were mainly used for training & supply to the South Lebanese Army, & eventually Peru !

Regarding the Tiran-3 (T-62) - Israeli tests of captured T-62's with a crack IDF crew suggest that the Russian 115mm U5-TS gun is consistently accurate over ranges of 3 klms and have obtained hits at 4.5klms (presumably 'static' on the range) - that's better than Western tank-guns of the day. In Soviet tank companies one tank (the best crew) is the roving tank operating as a 'sniper' and range-finder , the other 9 tanks only open fire at under 1500 mtrs.

Fun Fact - when the Ford engines in the Yugoslavian M36B2 tank destroyers stopped working due to lack of spare parts, the JNA robbed Peter to pay Paul with those T55 powerpacks. Cut the engine deck out (since they had the mounts already set) and welded the section of T55 hull right into the TD's engine bay. Have fun with that minutia.

It's a good tank build when I look at how those rounds are stowed and get sympathetic flashbacky shoulder muscle pain along with a headache.

That's coming along nicely! The road wheel tire color looks great. Are you going to leave them as "factory new" or damage/wear the rubber down?
