We tried figuring out what that was over on ModelWarships and I think the general consensus was it was several different ships but a Kara Class Cruiser sticks out as one of them in my mind. If anyone wants to take a stab at it let me know and I'll dig up what we figured out.

Weaver, look aft on the Kara. There's a twin arm launcher for SA-N-1 or 3 back there by a twin 57mm :)
... and in a movie based on a comic-book about people with laser-eye blast, control of metal objects (ferrous or not) etc., etc.
It's all a complete fantasy, so why in hell would the tech detais of military hardware be required to be factually correct.
