Coming along in fits and starts, like all my
victims projects. Decided to try one of those weird wild and wonderful freehand schemes that a lot of French aircraft got. With brushes it will look a little crisper, but I'm not shelling out for an airbrush just yet. The green is Model Master RAF Dark Green, the brown is unknown because the label fell off decades ago. They aren't perfectly accurate, maybe not even close, but MFM! Still needs touch up in areas, and maybe a few more blobs. The brown is gloss, but it will all be given a dull coat anyway.

...The Vultee Model 72 (A-31) supposedly was in response to 1940 Armée de l'Air specifications for a single-engine dive-bomber so "historically appropriate" building models of them in early WWII French 3rd Republic livery more so since the Free French flew A-31 variants operationally in 1943 North Africa though not successfully. A favored "What-If"are WWII Douglas A-1 Skyraiders had Ed Heinemann designed the beast before 1940 as a fast, heavy-lift low-level ground attack aircraft in response to Luftwaffe Stukas, even bought an 1/72 Airfix AD-1 hoping to model that "What-If' but didn't get around build it, oh well... :( Skyraiders were employed for filming The Longest Day D-Day invasion reenactment so yes they did see WWII action albeit just on the 1962 Silver Screen ;)
