Scratchbuilt, and molded in resin and fiberglass. First try with this updated model. More to come.

That's really cool, Rafa! You've got a great talent for creating shapes that reside somewhere between nature and engineering. I like the colors too.

I love the organic shape, Rafa - it could be the latest in stealthy fighters or a Human-Minbari White Star derivative.

Yea, this fellow looks like it's a living thing. I've run against some difficulties in production, because of lack of experience in molding a hollow shape and in designing the corresponding mating surfaces, but so far everything is doable and will be made. In the interim, I am in the process of scratchbuilding my masters for the Delphinuses II and III. Stay tuned, there's more to come.

Well, amigos, I've made some progress:

Left, a new pull off the mold of the R-101. Center, R-103 mockup in cardboard (Yum!!!) awaiting fleshing out in foam. Right, R-102, almost ready for scribing

Thanks, my friends.

Here's a little more work done on my masters. Still a little ways from completed, pending some filling and sanding. All digging- er, scribing done on these girls, and I will be ready for casting some commissions a few locals have made, so it's now a little job of producing desktop models in my studio room.
