My first model post!
This is what I was going to enter into the anything but military GB but life got in the way and this is as far as I got and missed it. I thought I had better post it now as it will be put aside to be finished some other time now the GB is long gone and may end up being forgotten about.

The kit is 1/72 and the pilot is 1/48. I have widened the fuselage were the new cockpit is located about 2.5-3mm. All surface detail has been sanded away. Spinner gun gone. nose guns, exhaust inlets and scoops filled. Canopy is rear section from 1/72 F9F Panther. The rest is styrene sheet and car body filler. I plan to add a fixed tailwheel landing gear.

The full size aircraft would be a all composite homebuilt and be powered by a 60-80 HP brushless electric motor and lithium polymer battery packs.

I have also had the thought that if there are now R/C turboprops then a turboprop set up for small single seat aircraft should be feasible and suits the look. With retractable nosewheel landing gear.

:) looks like one of those 3/4 scale home-builts all right ... should go well alongside a similar Mustang & Spitty .... I wonder if that Brisbane guy (Supermarine Aircraft) who moved to the US will add this design to his line-up ???

Looking at this a little more, it strongly reminds me of the Polen Special:

I really like that. Is it a modified Midget Mustang?

Thanks for the link. Very nice. And it did start with the Midget Mustang, the tail gave it away.

I have always liked homebuilts and pylon racers especially. Here is my R/C Midget Mustang, it had a hard landing from engine failure on climb out that tore off the landing gear and messed up the wing centre section so I will be re-building the structure and adding retracts at some point.
