Ah, yes, very nice ones but without the under-fuselage gun pods. I'm very tempted to do your Harrier GR.9 schemes but swap in the AV-8B's gun pods under the fuselage, I really can't see any Marines going in without guns. Another alternative would be to use GR/1/GR.3 gun pods with strakes, much as the AV-8C did.

However, the ADEN 25 would prove particularly troublesome and was finally cancelled in 1999. As a result, RAF Harrier GR.7 and GR.9 aircraft did not carry cannon. One could easily see a quick solution being adopted by acquiring the same GAU-12/U as used on the AV-8B and then cried forward to the later versions. A very simple, though plausible whiff.
