Steve Bamford has provided a kit review with images for the AFV Club 1/35 scale Talon Tactical EOD Robot (product number AC35010) at ARC-Armor

Neat little kit.  The real Talon can also be armed with small arms and support weapons.  So keep that in mind if you acquire this kit and wish to arm it.

Resin kit with a Japanese list of ¥30,000.  :-X  :icon_fsm:

Hobby Fan, BTW, are the parent of AFV Club, so perhaps we'll later see an injected styrene version.

Nice !!  pity it will be a resin kit :(
Still, there are many different colour-schemes --- US Army, US Navy, Oz Army, Argentine etc from overall natural aluminium, silver, white, red, OD or Gulf-war desert-yellow to various brown cams plus a few with civil Police markings and even a couple with toothy smiles !!

Would make a great diorama as I saw in the 1970's at my local yacht club -- bunch of Army sailors training so us yachties had to beware of their movements.  One LARC coming ashore in the channel at low-tide & getting bogged in the klag of the well-known (to us) mudbank ..... second LARC coming to it's rescue also getting stuck !!  After 2 hours, one managed to free itself but the other had to wait over-night for a wrecker to come & drag it to the shore ;D  Good entertainment !

Me too.  Would like to confirm that it is not the same kit (sprues) that was released under a limited run kit with the Vision Models brand name a couple of years ago.

Still waiting for the 40mm Bofors ammunition sets to be in stock so I can acquire a couple of those and we can only hope that AFV Club will do the same with the 75mm Pack Howitzer kit and provide sufficient ammunition types with the boxes and packing tubes to support that model.

Coming Soon From Hobby Fan – 1/35 LARC-V (Lighter, Amphibious Resupply, Cargo, 5 ton)

Now available at HobbySearch (1999.co.jp)

Hobby Fan 1:35th scale resin LARC-V Early production, Vietnam War
Kit number HF072,
Price $363.9 USD  (30,000 yen)

For that kind of price I would expect something a bit larger such as the LARC LX/BARC which has no problem carrying a LARC-V

Taiwan and the price is typical for their large resin kits:
http://www.hobbyeasy.com/en/category/AF35K/20/1/maker/HBF.html

Good resin kits are expensive to produce so their profit margin is probably not as large as most
would assume.

Making something that big, what type of resin do they use ?  I'm using a resin product for doing small things but all I have is 90 seconds to get it into the mould, those big kits would seem to need much longer --

there are quite a few different types of resin, the ones that are brittle tend to set faster & generate more heat while doing so.  The drying time of softer resins can be controlled somewhat by the amount of hardner mixed in but there is a limit - too little & it will never harden at all :icon_nif:

The resins that set slower by design are usually for professional use & are only available in bulk ..... so if you use more than 20 ltrs of the stuff each month .....

Looking really nice.  Need to see how bad that track is actually going to be.  It appears to be vinyl rubberband.

Not that I need another M109 in the stash, I must have enough to field an entire battery plus by now.  The little extras with the AFV Club kit certainly make it attractive though.  Nice that AFV Club will be releasing the M63 Anti-Aircraft Mount for the M2 Browning HB as part of a weapons set.  Wish they would do the same for the howitzer accessories as well.

Me too!  Did not buy the new Kinetic kit because you can't turn it into an IDF vehicle.  I have about 10 of the old Italeri kits and though they are nice, this AFV Club release will probably put it too shame.

Mine arrived yesterday and it is gorgeous!  Down side is you can't make an IDF version out OOTB.  You will need to steal the rear turret plate from the Italeri kit or scratch one.  While the charge box is a seperate item, there are no A1 doors behind it.  Also, while the vinyl track looks great, I think it may be similiar to Dragons DS versions and LONG in the tooth!
