Wow! An Italian Puma 4x4 AFV in 1/35!  :icon_surprised: Didn't see that one coming! Way to go, Trumpeter!  :) Hope they'll also do the 6x6 version.

Also, a 1/48 Supermarine Attacker F.1!

These two are from their 2012-08 Update (LINK!), which also says there will be an individual track link set for their E-100 series. Awesome, as the rubber band tracks in that one were a bit of a let-down.

Mentioned in their 2012-06 Update (LINK!) is the 1/48 MiG-23M Flogger-B!

Cheers,
Moritz

Just as I was about to drop change on the old Eastern Express (now Ark) kit, Trumpeter shows up with a KV-85! http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10196987

Not a What If but obscure enough to be interesting and useful for my alt-history "Whif World".

In their 2012-10 News Update (LINK), Trumpeter have announced a 1/144 J-20!  :icon_surprised:

Personally, I'd have rather seen the Su-27 and F-16s, but c'est la vie.

The 2012-09 News Update (LINK), has a...

...a 1/48 Supermarine Seafang (that's bound to be popular with whiffers)...

...a new-tool 1/35 BMP-1 IFV...

...and a new 1/48 MiG-21F-13/J-7 Fishbed (that will probably spawn a family of early/Chinese Fishbeds).

Moritz

Definitely looking forward to the Seafang.

One of the few 1/48 kits I would buy, to go with my Spifires, MB5 and Tempest.  All I need is a DH Hornet in the same scale.

Which version?  Classic Airframes released these (both in 1/48):

DH Hornet F1/F3:

DH Sea Hornet F.20/NF.21:

I believe ARBA also released kits in 1/48.

Greg

Yeah! I know who makes them, it's trying to find one, I'll probably go with the RAF one.  I don't have too many 1/48 kits, the ones I've mentioned and the Tamiya Lanc' (Grand Slam), Spitfire Mk.XVI, Mk. F.22/24, Seafire FR.47 and a Panavia Tornado (617 Sqd. boxing)  from Airfix .  When I found out that the Tornado was 1/48 I decided to do two builds that are similar, 1/72 Grand Slam Lanc and Tornado GR.4 and then in 1/48.  The Lanc's will have markings of the aircraft my Dad was an Instrument Fitter on, in 'C' Flight.

I've decided to do a few of my real favorite aircraft in 1/48 scale but that's it.

With the new 1:48 Vampire kit coming, I think it will become possible to cut and hack the kit into a high altitude whiffer without busting my conscience into pieces.

Trumpeter 1/35th scale Italian PUMA 4X4 AFV (product number #05525) kit sprue images
That's one hell of a big cable cutter on the front!   ;D

Thought the same thing when I first saw that image.  Maybe they have stronger wires to contend?

don't you know anything ?  Brian convinced them that they could land these vehicles with a "running start" by suspending them from a zepplin trapeze & flying low enough for a drop from just three feet off the ground :-\

Similarly they could pick them up again & relocate the same way. ;D
