Now all that is needed is a decent CLETRAC M2 High Speed Tractor to go with the B-24 :)

There were so many people on Facebook complaining that the Fiddler isn't 1/48th that Trumpeter actually responded along the lines of "if you tell us you will actually buy one, we'll think about it".

You must have a better catalogue than I do, because I don't see one there? EDIT: If it's true, and they're stepping on HK Models' toes, I wonder who will be the first to release B-29 in 1/32?

In the 72nd scale, I wonder how their F-106 will compare with Meng's? (I'll be bold and assume it's in any case better than the archaic Hasegawa/Frog one.)

Also, looks like they are also doing the A-6 family in 72, about time since there's basically only Italeri, or horribly overpriced Fujimi kits from the bay of evil (Hasegawa's Prowler is decent, because it's a different kit altogether than their Intruder, and Matchbox, well, Matchbox). EA-6A might be too much to hope, though.

I've noticed that a lot of vacuform kits are being ""copied"", Combat Models do a 1/32 B-24, I've got some wings from one of them for another project I've been planning.

Bah... amateurs. Who'll be the first one to release a B-36 in 1/32 (in injected plastic). I'm sure Bill will buy a case... I don't know what he'll do with the 40 foot steel container for the kits, tho.

Kit-bashing that into 1/72 super mega bomber (tanker, AWACS, cargo, etc...) will be quite a challenge.
Perhaps this is it:  The long elusive 1/72 USN platform for the air launched submarine !

1/144th.

I'm not convinced its 1/144 - if it is, its not a very good kit.

The Great Walll Hobby (GWH) / Pit-Road Vulcan is more detailed than this, even the Cyber Hobby 1/200 Vulcan is better than this.

http://www.internetmodeler.com/scalemodels/flaviation/Dragon-1-200-Avro-Vulcan-B-2-Ascension-Island-1982_printer.php
Trumpeter do a range of 1/350 (in which case this would be a good 1/350)

Problems with this kit is the the lack of detail:
 - the wheel wells are sparse empty boxes,
-  the undercarriage is poorly defined,
-  there is no crew access door forward of the nose gear

As i said, if it ends up being 1/144, it will be a shame...

While it's pretty cool they're carrying on with the 1/144 bombers, WHERE'S THE BLEEDIN BACKFIRE?  :icon_twisted: They'd have the market cornered on decent Tu-22Ms. Instead they choose something done by a competititor not too long ago. Is it more about hurting the fompetitor's sales? Does that make sense for somehing as esoteric as 1/144 Cold War bombers? Wouldn't it make more sense to release a Backfire? Surely a sizeable  portion (most?) of the Vulcan market potential has already been harvested by Great Wall/Pit-Road.

Either way... hooray for more 144! :icon_beer:
Cheers,
Moritz

Really trying to figure out the box art for this one. Are the two Fulcrum that are buzzing the carrier enemy planes that just sank escort ships or did the planes sink the enemy surface combatants that got way to close to their carrier for comfort? Or did subs take out the escorts and they are trying to launch as many birds as possible to save them?
