Summary up today
---------------------------

The 8th punic war took place in 40s of last century. As the main weapons producing countries were involved in WWII, Carthage Forces was forced to trust in their own resources to produce a high performance fighter to equip their Air Corps.

This aircraft was the Falcata. In their design, carthaginian engineers were inspired in swedish FFVS J-22. So rough materials and quick development lead to an small and robust aircraft with a very study undercarriage adecuate for the rough airstrips in the north of Afrika.

As the basic design of Falcata was strong enough for carrier operations, its Navalization was simple: adding a hook, and raising cockpit some inches. :thumbsup:

Wow, 10 years! That was a long time ago! I still love the trailing edge design with that black wing on that first one.

I think that Crescent Moon would be a better choice for national insignia, or green star because it was an element of some arab national flags.  ??? ::) I was too young! :P
