Yeah ... I saw this one.

While stunningly impressive, it is way out in the deep end. And huge.

My wife would do unspeakable things to me if I even considered it, and not the good things of which we do not speak.

Not that I am considering it. Now if it was 1/72nd scale ...

Carl - saw that in the Canadian group. Its pretty impressive, and good on the fella hoping to find it a new home. It is, too big, even for me!

But, I know a guy who wants to build a 1/35th Bismark...

Did somebody mention the Bismarck?

I remember this from wayback when I was a young kid, I saw it in that Canadian Weekend magazine that was an insert for most Saturday papers.

From the Toronto Public Library:

The Bismarck sails again -- in miniature; A 41 1/2 foot model of the German battleship Bismarck; which took on a British fleet in World War II; built by German navy veteran Paul Gresser of Sharon; was launched yesterday at Bradford. Albert Wyszatko; the owner of the marine where it was launched; stands on the bow. Gresser spent 2;500 hours and $800 to $1;000 on materials to build the ship. It's 12 feet high from keel to mast and weighs 5.5 tons with ballast; 3.5 tons without. Gresser made a 3-foot Bismarck in 1967.

I'm amazed you got it that far Carl ----

Mind you, having recently seen someone's basement that was completely taken over by his indoor 'live steam' railway network in 'G' gauge(he has an outdoor layout too) I can understand where you've come from.

I misrepresented the owner. It is actually another modeler in Ottawa who posted on it FB.

Back in the 1980s there was a game called OGRE, where conventional MBTs tried to take out a behemoth like that.
