So, what do you get when you put a Frog V-1 and a Heller Fi-103 Richenberg IV together?

You get the Fi-203! Check it out over at the Sprue Lagoon and let me know what you think.

Yeah, I know it, I'm a glutton for punishment!    :-X

Thanks, I appreciate it.

I was thinking of what other weird Luft '46 things could be twinned, but I came up blank. I mean, a twin Komet or 262 doesn't really make sense, and all I cold think of was the twin V-1.  Actuall, now that I think about it, a twin He-162 might work well.... :)

Go for it!

Maybe put a big gun like a BK5 in the second fuselage?

Oh, dude... That's an awesome idea! I never thought of making a twin with such a heavy "flying weapons pod" as the second fuselage. I mean, I know the Fi-203 has the guns on the one side, but a single big cannon is a great idea!

Depending upon what scale you are using you can also buy the BK5 barrel by itself too.  You would probably also want to make some allowance for the asymmetric force when firing the gun.

I'm agog at the amount of work you put into the little sucker - nicely done!

Thanks!

I am amazed at how much work it actually took, too. Looking at it now, I am amazed I even bothered to finish it. However, that was before I had lots of Luft '46 kits, and it was the only Luft project I thought I'd ever have, so I worked pretty hard on it.

It would have been way easier with two of the same fuselages, too!

Maybe I should get two of the Bronco 1/35 Fi-103s and do a big one of this thing?

Captured with British &/or US troops (or staff officers - good use of Dragon's Allied Force ETO 1944 & whoever's Allied Generals or Commanders figure sets).
