Some of my builds; definitley not all common subjects
« on: February 01, 2013, 10:48:52 AM »
Hey all!

Please check out my website, The Sprue Lagoon, to check out some of the Model Planes I've built. I love aircraft, and that's where I started modelling over 25 years ago!  I love two-seaters and anything odd, as well as What-Ifs!

I am always receptive to any ideas and feedback you have!

Thanks!

EP-6 Seamaster FTW! :)

Some day there will be a 1:48th scale injection molded Seamaster when they run out of paper panzers and Luft'46 subjects.

The Stuka on floats is also a great idea.

Ahhhh, so you're the one that made the EP-6!  Welcome to the group man.   Nice cache of work, you'll fit in nicely around here  8)

Just in case anyone needed a reminder of how good these models are, I saw the EP-6 posted yesterday on the Facebook "Project Terminated" page, with the poster saying it was a real project.  I corrected him and posted a link to Faust's page, but no one's responded.

Whoa, whoa, whoa...

You're saying  that there was some guy who saw my EP-6D and thought that it was real, and posted as a real project they cancelled?! I wish I had Facebook, now!

I think I'm honoured, but a bit worried about how fast one little thing found on the internet can turn into "Fact". I think that deserves one of these:  :icon_fsm:

Did he credit my site, or what, exactly, did he say the source was? That explains why I had a hit from Facebook the other day, at least.

There I go, rewriting history again...  :icon_ninja:

That made my day, thanks for putting that up, and for the compliment!

Any chance you can grab a screen shot of that page and put it up, so I can see it?

Thanks!

Like the Italian Sea-Stuka ... saved your Owl with torpedo to my hard-drive several years ago to build my own version :)

Love that Pacer-X (some people just don't get sarcasm eh ? ;D )  looks best in its minimum-bling version .... but then I also like the Honda S-600 coupe, pre-70's Subaru wagons & the Ford Ka (if only that had a V8) ....

Thanks for the compliments! Your '46 tanks make me want to take up armour building! I love the Krokodil! So sexy, and in "winter jammies" too! fantastic!

Raafif:

Thanks man! I don't know what was with that one guy who was all bent out of shape! Oh well, when I review the Citation or the Chevette I just got, maybe he'll understand!  :o

I like all weird or obscure cars. Dude, a Ka with a V8 would be out of control!

Wow, thanks jschmus! I appreciate it.

Did the guy ever get back to you about your email/post/whatever that it was just a what-if?

I appreciate the effort, man. Thanks a lot!

Faust, I think you've joined a small group of Whiffers who's work has fooled people who should have known better. The other two arePR19_Kit and the late Sequoia Ranger (see here: http://www.whatifmodelers.com/index.php?action=gallery;sa=view;id=2414 and here: http://www.whatifmodelers.com/index.php/topic,22774.0/highlight,caproni+bologna.html)

Indeed, that happens all the time on my DeviantArt page.  My favorite so far is the Argentinian fellow that joined DeviantArt just to tell me that the Argentinians didn't use the B-51B (which never existed), and that it was an A-4B that sunk the Coventry.  As if I hadn't realized at some point of my 5400x2700 pixel profile that maybe my 3-engined experimental bomber didn't quite look like the single engined attack aircraft in the pictures.  Hmm...

 ;) ;D

Cheers,

Logan

I think you can add Ed S into that list,  there's a poster (I'm not calling him a member 'cause he just popped up but now he's disappeared off the forum) over on the What-If forum who swears blind his Uncle flew a Turbo-Corsair in Veitnam just like the one Ed created and built.

Man, that's some high-flying company to be in!

I'm really honoured!

I am surprised no one has complained to me about innacuracies on my Japanese Typhoon, to be honest. I can hardly wait for that to happen at a show!  :icon_nif:
