Chieftain I'm not sure, but Dragon did a 1/144 Challenger (maybe several versions), Warrior and an AS 90.

Scalemates sez Matzo Matuo Kasten do a 1/144 Chieftain. May not be cheap, though.

Yep, HLJ has the Matuo Kasten Chieftain V for ¥3,000.

Seems they carry  bunch of 1/144 military veheicles, doesn't appear to be much Brit though.

Thanks guys.  The Challenger, AS90 and Warrior are probably a bit more modern than what I was thinking - I am thinking of a scenario around early '80s (maybe a Falklands or maybe WWIII one).

The Matzo Kasten Chieftain and their similar scaled Salidin might be options:

I am also looking at some Shapeways options...if only to detail the Hovercraft.

Was tempted to add 1 or 2 Sea Wolf SAM launchers:

or maybe a Phalanx:

Maybe some Land Rovers as well:

Generally, the idea is to have a British equivalent to some of the large Russian/Soviet Hovercraft such as the Aist-class:

They probably wouldn't fit Seawolf: it needs loads of electronics volume below decks and has big, heavy fire-control radars.

There's an outfit on ebay called Panzer Depot who do 1/144th armour including a Centurion and a Conqueror: http://stores.ebay.com/Panzer-Depot/1-144-British-AFV-/_i.html?_fsub=1103982014

Fair enough.  Maybe something akin to a multi-round Blowpipe SAM then:

Or perhaps a variant of the SLAM system:

Which was already considered for hover craft application:

Ah, you beat me to it: I'd just come back to suggest Blowpipe. The SLAM system would have been ideal.

It might also have carried the BMARC twin 30mm Oerlikon cannon mount as seen in some of Jon's other postings as well.

Would it be too cheeky to suggest they'd stand a greater chance of hitting the helo with a torpedo than by chucking a Blowpipe at it?  ;D

I am giving up listing them. They all end up on the shelf of procrastination anyways.
