Got one more rolled out the hanger.  F-138 fighter.  Started with seeing slanted P-38's by Tophe.  Have 1/55 P-38 in stash as core kit, letz see what happens.  Like with Slowy Jet, had no plan so started going thru stash kiits and parts bins.  Found this-n-that with possibilities and then sized up how well things fit together.  Rejected many pieces --- those selected became the F-138.
Back half of fuselage is back half of AR-234 that donated its front to Slowy Jet.
Outer wings  1/72 F-4.
Jet intakes  1/72 B-52
Jet tali pipes  1/110  SR-71
Tail wings  1/144 F-86 main wings
Cockpit  1/72 F-86
Fairing behind cockpit is parts bin drop tank section
Canopy is rear of parts bin canopy
Landing gear & doors from parts bin
Augmented after burner scoop is parts bin drop tank section

Thank you for all your comments.  BTS one place of few places there are folks who appreciate types of strangeness found here.
Had that off scale 1/55 P-38 with a shortage of plastic in the wings (mold was not filled).  Good reason to remove the partial wings and find replacements.  I enjoy not knowing what a core kit may become and going on hunt for parts with possibilities.  As more parts spark more ideas of what of kind plane(s) kit could become the charater of airctaft takes form part by part.  Did consider having two pull and two push propeller engines.  Being 1/55 there was room for larger than stock propellers.  Anyway - it ended up like this.

So many fabulous P-38 derivatives on that site.  Number of configurations is overwhelming.  Is a honor to have F-138 included with the rest.
Even unmanned cruise airplane (missile) types.   :)
Can see an unbuilt P-38 kit in room right now.  Tempting to build another.  This time after a web site review for ideas for a configuration which is planned verus picking parts and letting unplanned things happen.   ???

Appreciate those comments and observations.
As said, no planning.  Find parts and size them up against core model.
I too see the strangeness which works in its own way for F-138.
Never would have thought of this configuration.  Sizing up random parts (any scale) is how all five planes became what they are.
Have mixed scale seaplane under construction, though summer type outdoor activities halted work for now.  Done same way by sizing parts until a somewhat airworthy 1/72 airplane takes form.  Five models involved at this point.
After seaplane - have a pre thought of kit bash to build.
