Iguana Yachts 29.0' Amphibious Boat With Tracks
« on: December 18, 2011, 07:49:28 AM »
Found this on Gizmodo and it looks to be a very practical boat design for someone that has the money to make such a fashion statement.

The Iguana Yachts design has caterpillar tracks to allow it to drive in and out of the water on its own.

As the title of the article states: Retractable Tank Treads Make this Amphibious Boat Ready For Beach Assaults

It certainly does look like a great idea for an amphibious vehicle.  Wonder how it will do in rush hour traffic?  More to the point, did the boat designer of this interesting vessel get his inspiration from trolling the forums?

A rather interesting design and certainly something that would be at home in whif world.

It's interesting that they've made a boat amphibious rather than making a tracked vehicle waterborne.

Thanks for sharing.
