Title: RULES
Post by: ysi_maniac on May 30, 2016, 12:15:21 AM
1. The 2016 Annual "Non-Military" GB runs from June first through July 31st, 2016. An extension of up to two weeks may be granted depending on participants' petitions.

2. Any non-military AND unarmed subject is eligible, even Real World subjects. No more restrictions, otherwise, imagination is free. That is to say that, for instance, unarmed and unafraid (USAF recce), military medical services, armed pirates, or armed criminals are not acceptable.

3. Entries will be accepted in two categories: 3D physical models and 2D artwork/profiles/illustrated stories. Winners will be chosen by vote of the forum members. Entries must be posted to the Completed Entries thread by the deadline to be included in the voting.

4. Themed projects finished before this GB can be posted in the Display Only section. Show your stuff and inspire others at the same time!

5. Half-starts and refurbs/rebuilds are allowed if they're done within the GB time frame and require major work to be completed. Please remember the spirit of a group build is that we're all suffering through this together!

6. Decisions of the GB moderator are final. If you're not sure your entry is eligible, please ask before posting it.

7. Have fun!

Serious question: does a carnivore with teeth on display count as unarmed?

Only if you remove its upper two appendages.  ;D

And does a "water-bomber" count as Civilian Fire-Extinguisher or as like-military Bomber?

As long as it is civilian, it is acceptable.

I'm thinking not.  Leave the guns etc behind for this one.

Blue Angels are allowed?I was thinking of a tandem MiG-21 An-8/10.If not,I'll try an airliner or something else...

Blue Angels NO. They are militar and armed too.

Airliners YES. If you can conceive a civilian version of MiG-21, it would be acceptable.

Well the Learjet was based on a Swiss fighter design so why not other fighter based executive jets.

Almost every american medium bomber of WWII had a business version. In the other side, Aeroflot operated all kind of flying things:

Oh yes, an extension would be wonderful!

I'm this close to getting one more across the finish line, if only the heat would let up...

If I've built a themed model during the time frame of this GB but not as part of the GB can I still enter it for voting?

I'm not the mod but as a general rule of thumb around here that'd be "yes".

Just throw in a thread, preferrably with WIP pic's if you have them, & Bob's yer sister! ;)
