Post by: Feldmarschall Zod on December 17, 2012, 04:54:23 AM
Gaso.Line hull and legs in the darker resin. The lighter resin is Tank Workshop. 1/48. The exhaust is from a Hobby Boss M4A3.

Cool.  I can also imagine this as a futuristic crusader in the holy lands...

Thanks chief. :)

Weld beads are .015 Archer Transfers decals. They go on better over a primer or painted surfaces vs over bare/plastic.

Lookin' nice !  The Crusader idea sounds cool :)  How about painting desert scheme with off-white panels & large red swords as markings ??

Thanks for the comments friend. :) If I was good (at hand painting,I would go for those markings. I will be using standard IDF tank markings. There were some that came with the Hobby Boss M4A1(76).

Looking good in the IDF paint  :)  Interesting about the Archer weld bead decals going on better over primer ... that's a first!

Thanks. :)

I have tried their surface details over bare plastic before, and found that they do not stick well.

I really like that head-on shot, Zod!

That's intimidation with a capital 'I'!

This is terrific work.  Like a whole new take on mecha: much more realistic and scary (IMHO).  Wow.
