So you want musical inspiration? Well, I got you covered: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HTGlUMvbhSw

Love weird Al but he doesn't get a look in on this one. ;)

Not quite that fat but headed in the right direction, mate! ;D

Well, so much for jolly St Nick!

Never been much of a "jolly" St Nick, etc., fan.

The darker, pagan beliefs. mythology & practices underlying the modern Christian myths have always been more interesting to me, since I found out about them as a youngster.

Paint has gone on & some has come off, & different paint is going on.

Still fairly early days, though, & a bit difficult to show any meaning full images.

Plus, the eldest daughter & the two grandsons are over from the Eyre Peninsula, so modelling is being pushed back a little (until everyone else is in bed).

More inspiration - perfect for a larger/smaller scale forced perspective diorama.

He looks a lot like the goofy reindeer character from Frozen!

Last few days have been busy but I've spent some time painting the Dark Santa figure, finishing some bits off & fixing up others.

It's now at the stage where I need to gloss coat the parts & put them all together, which will require puttying gaps & fixing up the paint work (including gloss coating the finishing work.

Somewhere in there various bits will require washes & high-lights before the final matt coat.

Starting to get near the end, here! ;)

Just put the cloak & head onto the body for a quick check of fit, etc., &, while there seems to be a bit of misalignment for some reason (paint?), the ol' boy's looking pretty good!
