Asymmetric Coininghtning
« on: October 03, 2015, 03:09:10 PM »
Uh... I was not much inspired by this GB subject, over-military as a special way to kill... :(
Anyway, I may try another way: the principle of Counter-Insurgency is a big power crushing revolted individuals, and this is now called an asymmetric-war, so an asymmetric-plane would be perfect for this murder "job".
I have downloaded a P-38 vector 3-view at TheBluePrints.com and I plan to turn it into a 3 view of asymmetric Lightning: COP-38.
I plan 4 versions:
- COP-38A: twin-engined
- COP-38B: single-engined
- COP-38Z: double (Zwilling) single-engined
-COP-38Z-2: three-engined double-twin
Later...

Then the promised extra Zwilling COP-38Z-2, Z-3, Z-4:

They would have been efficient killers in the legal Royal Air Force, in 1770, mass-murdering the insurgency of independantists in America. I don't like COIN, no... "don't do against others what you would not like to be done against yourself"...

Remember that not all weapons need necessarily be lethal - one could just as easily use non-lethal weapons.

Quote
Wright Laboratory won the 2007 Ig Nobel Peace Prize for "instigating research & development on a chemical weapon—the so-called 'gay bomb' / 'poof bomb' —that will make enemy soldiers become sexually irresistible to each other."[13] However, Air Force personnel contacted were not willing to attend the award ceremony at Harvard University's Sanders Theatre to accept the award in person.

Well, I don't know how to depict the last one (!), but I have found 3 versions CoiNL-38A, B, C: attackers with Non-Lethal weapons, either a nest (dropped to capture or ridiculize the "evil" leader), or psycho-waves to turn pacifist (with strong protection for the pilot...), or super-laser to turn blind in 1 microsecond:

The RBB-38 has been refused but I explain its weird design:
- Its principle was no gun nor bullet on it, but it was Returning Bullets Backwards from ground-air fire
- The aerodynamists protested this cannot fly
- Its shape was not asymmetric but its goal was asymmetric: fighting violence without own violence, like aïkidokas are making agressors fall from their own violent force, but government lawyers said this is not matching the descriptive words in the contract for an "asymmetric COIN Lightning"...

The RBB-48B tried to cure 2 drawbacks in the RBB-48 design:
- it was no more directed against bullets from front direction, but against bullets from the ground below (this is better for attacking ground forces)
- it was directed against fire from the right direction, attacking from the left, thus matching the asymmetric words in the contract
Though, aerodynamists kept on saying this cannot work (without zero speed, helicopter way)...

So the RBB-48H helicopter was the final design in this direction.
Plans were made to produce 1,000 copies per week, but no order came...

Thanks for the advice.
To prove the design was completely sane, I have still improved it, with a different shade of grey for inside the bowl:

So just to be clear, you're going to present a panel from a Tank Girl comic to your psychiatrist as proof that you arn't crazy?

PLEASE let us know how that conversation goes.... >:D

No, in fact I was joking. Because I clearly know the psychiatry dogma is opposite: "nevropaths think they are crazy, while psychopaths (the "Real" crazy ones) think they are sane", so... never tell the psychiatrist you are sane, as this is for him/her a proof that you are crazy!

PS. Technically, your reverse gun has a problem: almost for sure, the arriving bullet will kill your head or stomach without entering very precisely inside the little hole in your pistol, that is why this project is impossible (and entering must happen on the side of the hole, not in the center or this does not turn back but kills).
My project is crazy also because a half sphere is not enough path for a 180 degrees re-direction, a turn of 160 degrees for instance not throwing back the bullets to the ones that sent them but to collateral victims (civilians? children?), which is awful as well.
That is why both RBB-38s and your pistol are not good ideas. (This is a sane analysis of this weird project, yes!)
 ;)

Ah, but these are highly-trained pacifist marksmen, able to anticipate the angle of the bullet's arrival and adjust their aim accordingly... ;)

Actually in the story, Tank Girl uses the weapon in a gunfight at a distance of about 10 feet to "kill" a cloned Tank Girl without actually taking responsibility for doing the deed herself. It's a little confusing. This may be intentional...

Thanks for this explanation.
Yes, out of confuse fighting, shooting almost at random in all directions, it is possible to calculate precisely a bullet direction, then invent a boomerang effect for it. This is not "true life story" but this is another dream.
