Here is my current build, ready for paint. It's a tracked Centauro tank destroyer, upper hull / turret is the Trumpeter kit with the lower hull / treads from the HobbyBoss Swedish Strv. 122. Now is a good time for comments, please keep it in mind I'm trying to keep it as close to real world as possiable to keep it in the conversion catagory at an up coming show.

That looks great. I love the modern look of it. Given how light it should be, though, The tracks seem very wide for the vehicle. That might be what you're looking for, I don't know. It would have very low ground pressure—unnecessarily so for most applications, but just what the doctor ordered for Scandinavian countries, especially in the Lapland region.

Great build. It looks so natural as a tracked vehicle. The low profile turret and the wide tracks give it a bit of a hot rod look as well.

yeah! Sports car look indeed! I like the wider tracks. I debated leaving my tracked Stryker like that, but in the end, I extended the hull with and hung some add-on-armour. I prefer the look of yours.

I would see if the drive sprocket / track area could be touched up somehow. The track looks a little 'sproingy' in between the top of the sprocket at the front return roller.

Are you doing it Italian or Swedish or?

The tracks are loose, in the end I will glue them down on the return rollers to tighten them up. Probley Italian green since I can't find any other camo except UN white.

Gingie - Your tracked Stryker was a huge inspiration. I really liked the look of your conversion.

That is an almost seamless combination of two kits. Very sleek appearance and a hard target with the low profile.

We think a lot alike, I had seen that post, and have those two exact kits in my stash. Some thing along those lines has brewing in the ol' brain bucket.

haha, its the 'waste not' philosphy of whiffery; a 6x6 becomes a 4x4, which means the next 6x6 becomes an 8x8.

I love the look of the Centauro turret. Low and mean! The tracks make it even better. As others have said, seamless combination.
