Hmmmmm......
Trashcanistan GB. A tiny, broke and forgotten country that has to build its military and civilian equipment out of what everyone else has thrown away. From rifles to aircraft to busses everything is a hodgepodge of relics and junk. Rust is the primary paint scheme.
Run this alongside “clean out the junk drawer” GB.

Kind of like Borat’s homeland!
If this gets voted in I’ll actually have to build and complete something!

For the:
- Expatriate units and formations - Expeditionary Forces (A)
- Governments in exile (B)
- Harry Turtledove

(A) - ok, the Expeditionary Force is a big off, but for the Expatriate units, it just volunteers or just people recruited by other nations
 - OTL: Armenian Battalions; Flying Tigers; Belgian Legion; Mahal, etc.
- Fakes: Let's say - American Foreign Division (US version of French Foreign Legion); Iranian volunteers in British Army in WW2; Spanish Helicopter Squadron in Vietnam
(B) - it just armed forces that were expelled from their home country and still want to fight (based on their respective governments)
 - OTL: Off course, all the WW2 Allied nations in exile, but also the now Afghan government, the Imperial State of Iran, Kuwait in 1990, etc.
 - Fakes: Finnish government in 1940 (if Soviets conquered Finland), Denmark/Albania government in exile, (Apartheit) South Africa government in exile; Cold War Polish/Czechoslovak government in exile...
(C) - true, but kinda focus on it's own stories (dozens, not just its famous TL-191)

What about a "desperation" GB, i.e. the real life Wirraway used as a fighter, trucks with concrete bunkers built in their backs, ocean liners used as auxiliary cruisers, so take anything peaceful and civilian, or at least non combat and make it lethal with an appropriate paint scheme of course.

Amphibious theme. Vehicles designed to operate from the water onto land and back to the water. Surface or submersible, air cushion. Military or Civilian.

 Pink or blue. No relation to gender reveals, a grab-bag GB where the only solid parameter is that the predominant color has to be one or the other.

Hybrids of horror. A nod to the upcoming tenth anniversary, combine a land and sea, or a sea and air, or land and air vehicle...in order to outrage convention.

Spinning off from Volkodav's 'Desperation GB' concept, how about an 'Invasion 1942 GB'?

A possible diversion point would be a big IJN win in the Battle of the Coral Sea. This would open the door to an invasion of northern Australia from the NEI and the Solomons. Imperial Japanese forces would be equipped as per OTL. But Australia (and NZ) would be largely left to their own devices.

So, what could be assembled quickly from local Australian resources to meet the invasion threat? (Or, for storytellers, what would that invasion look like?)

Of course, 2022 is also the 80th anniversary of the Battle of the Coral Sea (and the 'Bombing of Darwin').
