Stumbled over this (currently 7 page long) thread of photos, Axis vehicles and ordnance captured by the Allies.

The amount of minutia appealing to this group pegs the meter to 11.

Another visually stimulating (currently 10 page) collection of panzer wrecks.

The Devil being in the details, I did a double-take at this one.

I've read about wood-fuel vehicles, but I've never seen one - what sayeth the Peanut Gallery?

There's actually a lot of those photos in different places. Holzbrenner Volkswagens or Holzgasfarzeuge will show a lot of photos, as well as "wood gas" vehicles.

More interesting to me is the quite rare Panzer III Ausf. G/H mit Schachtellaufwerk in the lower left. That actually looks to have been repainted in dunkelgelb, which I've never seen before.

Cheers,
