Welcome to the Jungle
« on: March 17, 2013, 09:08:28 PM »
Hi Folks!

Had very little time for modellin', only a few days in the last months... :( So, in this times I've tried to work on this little diorama, started to build up the scenery with the flora, and converted a few figures. Maybe I'll make an other 4rd figure for this scene later...
Still lots of things to do...

And a few pictures from the building phrase:

Excellent work, Brother Macal! The tree with the vines and such is very convincing and compliments the bright green of that self-propelled bull-dozing gun nicely.

I look forward to your next update!

Hi All!

Good news (for me :)), I had a little time to paint and work on the stuff, so worked on this project. A few paint work still had to be done, but the modell almost ready. Have to work on the terrain and on the dirt of the vehicle.

KingAzog!

Terrible sorry that I haven't answered! The trees are made from small parts of a special wood like thing, I bought them in a model shop in Budapest. They're very soft, so I put them in PVA glue mixed with water for a little time, and after that, glued them together to the form I want. Te leaves are made from green stuff, painted with Vallejo acrilics. For the base, I used ground textured bougth from a model train shop. The lianas and tendrils are made from ropes, from ship modelling accaessories, used PVA glue to get the straigth look, and painted with green.

The way you achieved that well-worn look with all the scuffed and chipped paint is just amazing.

It looks like real metal showing through. Incredible!

That turned out really nice! It's much more logical looking design than the stock Basilisk without altering the basic concept too much.

Hi Guys!

Thanks for the kind replies! But still have to work on the vehicle, and a little bit paintjob on the figures, just a few corrections. The vehicle is almost fully ready, but a few details have to be repainted, cause I don't like the color. And still have to make tha mud and dirt effects on the sides and on the front / rear section. Also have to finnish the foilage on the scene....

War(hammer) in Vietnam :) Fantastic dio and amazing vehicle:) First clas paintjob! What's the producer of figures? There is a set of these or they're converted from another ones?

Hi There!

They're converted from the boxed set "Catachan Jungle Fighters" and I used other bits from Cadian sprues, and green stuff for sculpting. Btw, It's finished I think :) Or almost finished, still have to repalce aerial for the radio, correct a paintfailure on the figures, and remove two unwitting fingerprints from the side of the base :) But is' 99% finished.. :)

Looks very believable-outstanding job with vehicle, with figures and base. You've created masterpiece from Warhammer , which doesn't have a lot of possibilities. First class job :)
