Anyone know what scale this is in?  I've seen one for sale and am intrigued.

Rickshaw built one on the Whiff site.  Appears to be 1/50.

It is tempting to buy it and do something similar to what he did.

As a representation of the Gnat it's pretty bad, only good in general outline.  It is advertised at 1/50 but I must admit, I never measured it to see, as I wasn't interested in what scale it purported to be but what scale I was going to make it.  Damn expensive.   If I was going to do it again, I'd go with the Aeropoxy 1/48 Gnat.  Cheaper and much nicer from the pictures.  Not covered in massive blobs representing rivets.

So, would $10 for one be reasonable?

Extraordinarily.  I paid five times more in the end for mine.  :(

Then we'll see if I win it.  I like the approach you took and I'll likely be doing something similar, likely using a Gnat T.1 canopy.

Go for it.  I'll look forward to seeing your effort.

Well, I won it and now I'll need to purchase a Gnat T.1 and other goodies to fit it out.  I've got a few ideas I want to play with.
