Rule 1: It MUST float in/on a liquid medium (water/oxygen/nitrogen/hydrocarbon)! :icon_meditation:
Rule 2: Have fun! ;D
Rule 3: Part-started builds (about 10%) MAY be accepted. ::)
Rule 4: If in doubt, ask the Moderator. (That's me! I don't bite ... much.) ???
Rule 5: If the Moderator is late to start the GB, an extension is almost certain to be granted. :-[
Rule 6: Never ask about Rule 6! :o
Rule 7: Refer to Rule 1. :icon_vader:
Rule 8: HAVE FUN!! 8) ;D
Rule 9: The Floaty GB 2019 will be extended to 2359hrs (local) on Sunday, 14th September 2019.

So I don't forget later:
Rule 9: The Floaty GB 2019 will be extended to 2359hrs (local) on Sunday, 14th September 2019 (because I messed up the start).
-
Did you mean September 14th, Mr Wombat? I thought GBs now run three months but they say at my age memory is the first thing to go.
Who are you again? :-\

So I don't forget later:
Rule 9: The Floaty GB 2019 will be extended to 2359hrs (local) on Wednesday, 14th August 2019 (because I messed up the start).
The end date is already 31st Aug as BdB has alluded to as well.
-
Yep, messed up again. I'm starting to get worried! :o
I'm going to blame it on a 740 km drive to do 2 jobs at work yesterday. ::)

Yikes! Where was that?

From Adelaide to a farm in the Keith/Bordertown area, to Naracoorte & back. :-\
Nice drive, really, but still a big day out for an old fart. ;)
We have Home Detention types everywhere. During the week their local Community Corrections Centre would cover any issues but try getting them out on the weekend! ::)
-
Were you with anyone or just by yourself? If with someone its not so bad but by ourself makes for a long day.
-
Always work in pairs.
-
Was that a 'round' trip or just one way Guy ?
-
Round trip.
-
Just to clarify, the new end date is Sept 14th, right?

Yes.

You can certainly rack up the mileage living in big open space countries. :icon_crap:

Yep! :))
When I were a wee lad ... Actually, when I was about 19-21 & in the RAN FAA based in Nowra, NSW, I drove the 1,400km home to Millicent in the South East of SA just for a Mum-cooked meal, then drive the 1,400km back to Nowra the next day, several times. ;)
-
Ok, you win. I thought my 180km round trips to go to a gym were impressive.
-
Me & mrs kitnut do that every time we go to the shops ---

Were the navy cooks really that bad?

Actually, at the time, at Albatross they were pretty good & I lived off base most of my time there (caravan & flat sharing with FAAMAN) but there are times a young lad hears the call Mum's cooking. ;)

Just a heads-up, folks.
ELEVEN (11) days (plus some change) to go!
-
SEVEN (7) days, people!
Time to start pulling it all together & winding up those builds, folks!
-
tic toc

OK, I'm going to be away over the weekend without access to my computers but I'll be back Sunday afternoon (my time). ::)
Unfortunately none of my builds are going to make it. :icon_crap:
So, I expect to have the Completed Builds threads locked by 2300hrs, Sunday, 15 Sept. 2019, Adelaide time (+09:30hrs UT), which should give everyone enough time to get another 3 or 4 builds in each & .... sufficient time to get their builds in once completed (I hope).
Then I'll have to sort out the poll(s). :o
Good luck! Hope you can all finish!
-
Righty-oh, the completed builds threads have been locked & I've now got to figure out how I'm doing the Polls.
May take me a couple of days but I'll get right on to it!
Thank you, everyone, for taking part, whether you finished your build(s) or not. I certainly appreciate your efforts & the quality of your entries. :icon_alabanza: :icon_alabanza:
-
I forgot to link one of the entries back to its parent thread (I guess it's a good thing that I posted at the entries thread everything to be displayed as well). Can I do it during the polling period?
-
I think I linked it correctly. If not, let me know how you want the link done & I'll fix it for you.
-
I think I linked it correctly.
Yes you did. Thank you very much
-
Cool! Nice to know I'm not completely useless at this moderating thing.
