Title: 1941 Willys MB 'Jeep' 37mm M3A1 Portee
Post by: Story on December 21, 2021, 12:02:52 AM
Inspired by the pre-war maneuvers.

The first attempts were apparently (at least by the photos below) the gun and it's trail legs-less cradle plopped onto the back cargo bed.

From what I've read, this was unstable and was followed by a pedestal mount without the M1917 Browning watercooled.

That sounds like low-hanging do-able fruit to me.

Chekov's 37mm?

Otherwise don't put it there.”

I think the 37mm is the Bf109 of the 1/35 armor world. There are some jeep conversions in there but most seem to be the more reasonable Dodge WC:
