Mammoth Tank

With the deadline extended, I'm going to try to squeeze a couple more builds in. This one, a 1/700 scale Mammoth tank from the Command and Conquer game series, based on the Renegade 3d model.

Body already mostly done:

As someone who grew up on the C&C series, I'm definitely looking forward to this.

Thanks,

Logan

I loved the classic CnC games, my favorites were Tiberian Sun and the original Red Alert also Renegade.

Some progress:

That Mammoth Tank's miniscule! :icon_surprised:

I can't explain why, but I love small scale models.

Anyway Mammoth Tank is finished.

All my paints are 6000km away so once again I have used gundam markers, which are all well and good for gundam, but not that great for everything else.

As close as I can get to GDI desert camo:

Size comparison to an abrams aka medium tank:

Nice. Good work with the antenna, those really bring it together.

Thanks,

As a fellow Tiberian Sun/Wars fan.. terrific !!!!!

Nice work for such a small model.. why 1/700 ?
I have initial scribblings for a 1/48 GDI Guardian APC that must get resurrected now. Damn your eyes :D :D

Is that to park next to your Orca? ;)

Very nice job polygon! :)

You can always re-do the paint scheme when you get back to your paints.

Me, I'm only 4,300 km from home & stash ... but not for much longer! :icon_music:

hmmmm, now that I think about it, I guess it's a combination of fascination, challenge and time. If I made it bigger, it would probably take me a few weeks.

What a coincidence, I had considered making the guardian - also in 1/700 ;D
