Title: Thunderball's Villiers Vindicator
Post by: KiwiZac on February 26, 2016, 06:14:14 AM
Hi all,
One little project at work recently was entertaining the idea of bashing all three V-Bombers - probably using the various 1/96 kits - into the Villiers Vindicator, the RAF bomber hijacked for its atomic payload by SPECTRE in the original James Bond novel Thunderball. Kits of each are out there, to varying degrees of rarity, but I've now consigned it to the "will-build-later-if-ever" pile as the mania to build it passed.

To aid with planning what goes where, and for the eventual backstory, I digibashed a three-view from those of the Valiant, Victor and Vulcan. The result is below.

From memory the components are: Valiant fuselage; Victor wing and horizontal stabiliser; Vulcan nose and vertical stab.

Feel free to use it as you wish :)

Fine digibash.  Got it all flowing together as one. :)

Nice mix! Is it all from the same scale?

It is, Tophe - as I planned on using this as a basis for my build I was careful to keep everything in scale.....I think.

Thanks folks! I just hope someone is able to build it.

This is very cool. and though it is a mash up of the three V bombers the design is logical and makes sense. This would have been cool to see in Thunderball,
