Some good news came to Ukraine’s famous, albeit struggling aircraft manufacturer, Antonov, today. Saudi Arabia has announced that they are going to purchase 30 of the company’s new AN-178 jet transports. This is the first military order for the type and the largest single order to date.

It's all made up.

I had hoped the emoticons would convey that.
Story doesn't seem too far-fetched, though, does it?

And the terrain could easily pass for the Northern German Plains and the Bundeswehr proving grounds there.

Ironically the kids and I were looking through photos and videos of Darwin, Christmas 74, following Cyclone Tracy last night. The devastation at the airport was something but seeing a patrol boat up on the beach, high and dry was something else.
