Thanks guys.  :)

As for the F.8 Meteor, I`m calling this done.

Just hope I`ve done Jack proud and get Janet`s approval and she will see the model at next years reunion.

That's a really nice finish on the Meteor: looks "used", without being overdone.  :)

Exceptional work, looks very realistic! :)

Thank you all very much for the comments.  :)

Next on the Tiger list and the last Meteor in the stash, (well.., until a F.3 arrives anyway),  is the CA T.7

Other than the modified fuselage half`s, it`s pretty much the same kit as the F.4 and F.8 versions which should be no surprise.

There is of course plenty more resin to cock up..., er..., I mean play with, as it`s a two seater....,

One thing that struck me straight away was the nacelle decals are incomplete with the yellow/black dicing missing.

And while I`m not a great fan of resin cockpits, this will be the least of my problems.
It`s hard enough to fit 60g of ballast in the single seater, let alone a two seater........!!

Now I was in two minds as to which scheme to go for?

All over silver or the rare day fighter camo version?

Don't forget that ballast can be anywhere ahead of the main wheels: it doesn't have to be in the extreme nose, though obviously, the further back it is, the more you need.

Just looking at the pics, possible areas could be:

In front of the front cockpit
Under the front cockpit floor
Behind the front cockpit side panels
Between the two cockpits
Under the rear cockpit floor
Behind the rear cockpit
On the front of the lower-wing carry-though, ahead of the main gear
In the inboard wing leading edges
In the engine pods behind the compressor faces

Got a bit side tracked with the T.7 Meteor  and spent the morning finishing this one off but I really must get back to the Meteor T.7 if I want to take it to Newark next weekend.

So with no further ado........,

Those Lightnings are spectacular!!  :P :-*  Superb build and paint finish, so very well done!!  :) :) :)
Just a question though, what scale and whose kit are they as it's very hard to appreciate your tremendous work without some idea of what the start point was  ;)

Based on the little known rumour in 1966 that 74 (Tiger) Sqn might be the first recipient of any British F-111 purchase after the cancellation of the TSR project.
