Some years ago now, I was at the Cold Lake Airshow, and had a good look at the B-1 which was on static display. There wasn't any barriers around the aircraft and I was able to walk all the way from nose to tail and wing tip to wing tip under it. I was studying the wheel bays to see what details I could make for the two 1/72 B-1B's I have, and while looking up into the nose gear bay, a woman came up beside me and started looking up too. Then she says to me 'what goes in there then' ---- we were stood right next to the nose u/c gear when she said that, so all I did was say 'That' (pointing at the wheels) 'goes in there' (pointing at the open space of the wheel bay). The lady's face turned bright red and said 'Oh! right' and she walked away very quickly ------
