Here are three options for the Gloster Gemini Night Fighter NF.14. Will be built from two Matchbox Meteor NF.11/12/14 kits. 3 and 4 engine versions.

I like the triple (second one down) but with a joined tail like number 3

After slept on I too am leaning towards 3 engines but with design #2 with the outboard stabs. There are also other goodies you'll see when it is built.

Finally a photo. I front end loaded the build by closing up the landing gear bays, cutting new ones (look inside the fuselage) as it will be a tandem design, closing up and making new pylon locations.

Yep, three engines is way to go.  In styrene form is better than drawing.
