That sound you just heard was the price value of my 1/48 Collect-Aire kit hitting the floor.  Ah we'll, didn't intend to sell it anyway...

Anyone have any reviews or rep-data on this company? One of their bigshots is on the F-106 forum, asking for advice on tooling, and I'd like to do a rep-check before I get too involved with them.

Not even a CAD drawing or painting yet.   Just an announcement on their FB page and a photo of a real SuE.

That's a cool box.

Am I bad for thinking it'd look better as a painting or CG?

Nope, and with a name like Avante Garde combined Russian Art History I would have hoped for something more dramatic,
perhaps even Constructivist (ala Tatlin, Lissitzky[extremely influential in typography/book design], Rodchenko) or Suprematist (ala Malevich, my personal fave).
 ;)

Tatlin actually designed a flying machine.  :)

A famous poster by Rodchenko:

Malevich, Suprematist Composition: Airplane Flying, 1915

a few months ago I was googling & came across a photo of a Mig-31 stripped down for major work - showed the entire airframe sans externals - can't find it now but it would make a great dio for this kit.

Hi Ifor,

Actually not bad because we own the factory. No other overheads.
The final prices are down to your shops after the distributors have brought them in for you.

Some shops doing discounts for pre orders now. Where are you?

The fine folks at AMK are set to release a 1/72 IAI Kfir C2/C7!  :icon_beer: I'm gonna need a dozen! More info and pics on their Facebook site: LINK! (https://www.facebook.com/avantgardemodelkits/posts/631246847040146)

Hmmm, first a scale-down of their L-29 Delfin, followed by a scale-down of their IAI Kfir,.... could that mean we'll eventually see a scale-down of their superb Foxhound?

Oh, and seeing that it hasn't been posted here yet: the 1/48 crowd will get another new F-14 Tomcat. LINK! (https://www.facebook.com/avantgardemodelkits/photos/a.524746031023562.1073741853.279694855528682/623216227843208/?type=3)
Going by what you hear about their Foxhound, AMK might actually give Tamiya a run for their money (yeah, I know, different Tomcat versions, but still...).

One of the interesting things in the aircraft kit is that t has GBUs in drop mode:

(https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-vFUM_ZEd3LY/XVIk9pv2DeI/AAAAAAACuIc/Sc54ROBb0sMMdXDG8UVtoJtqkY9HD_1MQCLcBGAs/s1600/%2BAvantguard%2BModel%2BKits%2BF-14D%2Bsuper%2BTomcat%2B%252830%2529.jpg)

I am presuming the Ordnance set has the same.

The DESIGN concepts are:

1. As AMK weapons, all slide molded weapons.
2. Single piece slide molded fuselages. NOT one, but TWO. Clicking 2 single piece fuselages into wings to have the main shape the aircraft will be challenge to our designing skill. Hope we can make it!
3. In addition to normal version, we will have another version with FULL INTERNAL STRUCTURES.
4. Same as other AMK kits, DEATILS will be as much as we can do.

You are free to give us your opinions. Red, green, or blue lines are all welcome! But please do it in our designing stage but not after the molds are done.

There will be no Preorder, and no release date yet. Probably, we will take 1-2 years to get it done. If you are complain about the long lead time, go check the C-17 please.

I picked up the Delfin in 1/48, its beautiful. Intent was to convert into an "A-10 / Pucara inspired"  middle-power attack aircraft. But its so nice I'm hesitant to hack away at'er.

The HIP is gonna take up some shelf space. Would like to see the V5 export version for the 427 SOAS birds.
