Hi folks,

A thread for your figurine (or similar) ideas and inspiration.

To start with, I was just wondering about an the following idea.  What if one took a scene/kit like this:

But re-did it to show Wehrmacht or Waffen SS troops climbing atop the Kremlin to raise the NAZI flag?

Would certainly get some comments at model shows. >:D

Regards,

Greg

I have a 1/16th Mini-Art Roman Legionary and Musketeer on stock, with the intention of doing a modernised Legionary at some point. The original intention was to do him 1960s (just using the Musketeer for trousered legs and convertible boots) and give him a radio, SMG etc... However 1/16th accesories are either hard to come by or expensive (I have picked up a few), an alternative would be to use ALL the Musketeer's gear to make him a 17th century Legionary....

I also have a couple of 28mm "Getchen the Sniper" figures plus another different one (can't recall the manufacturer) as a "boot donor", which should allow me to make a fairly decent Tank Girl at some point. However Getchen has a full head of hair, so to achieve this I'll have to become the first person to ever give Tank Girl a haircut with a Dremel, and if that doesn't scare you, then you really, really DON'T know Tank Girl...... :o ;)

The descendant of the Roman Legionnaire is a modern riot-police squad member....

So, why not dress a Legionairre as a riot cop?

Black armour with POLICE markings, window in the shield, sidearm, quick cuffs and gas mask. Keep as many distinctive Roman elements as possible... including the short sword.

Keiichi Aoki built and painted this MasterBox "Check Point" figure set and did such remarkable work on the faces and hair that you would think this was an actual photograph and not a 1/35th scale model figure set.  Even the dog looks convincing.

Something different that might be modeled on your next figure project perhaps?  Apparently developed with the intent of taking costume-play to the next level the inventors have come up with Digilegs, the Original Reverse Leg Stilts to help fulfill the concept of your nest constume-play project or your secret desire to be a pony.

The video has two blokes prancing around the back yard on their stilt-legs and they make it look easy enough.  Video ends with what I assume to be the same two gents rocking a pair of Alienz franchize costumes and looking quite menacing.

The inventory has a second video showing her "suiting up" in a set of these legs that helps better understand the design at this YouTube link:

Some time back, frank3k mentioned the 'amplified history' performers of Heilung ... and life has not been quite the same since then

(Thanks again Frank ... Krigsgaldr from Castlefest 2017 blasting through the headphones as I type this!)

In 2019, Virginie Ropars created a bust of Heilung member Maria Franz - antlers included! The Breton sculptor usually makes full-figure 'art dolls' but I don't know what scale she works in (1/16, maybe?). The Maria Franz bust was done for the Midgardsblót MetalFestival held in Borre, Norway - Maria's home town.

More images (and other Virginie Ropars creations):

BTW, in Norse mythology, Midgard (Miðgarðr) is the realm of mortals while blót refers to Viking blood sacrifices. So, I'm guessing that the festival would be a wholesome entertainment event suitable for the whole family!  ;D

This might be a silly question but does anyone know of 1/35th Star Wars figures? I have a couple of crazy ideas that might involve whiffing some armored vehicles. Like I need more projects!

That's a great bust of  Maria Franz! The artist's other work is very good, too.

A light Utility car has been developed. Aesthetically inspired in Velorex/Oscar (1). Technically it is more than Velorex: 4 wheels, engine and traction in front, ...

A pair of US militaries perform a recce mission. But they are not unarmed ;D and if they are lucky, will practice their snyper skiils.  8)

Looking very much like early British Paras in training gear - with a jump smock copied from the German 'Knochensack' and that swollen-looking Sorbo rubber training helmet.

In fact, in Spain, the bumper was never considered as combat equipment, just for training.

Thanks.
