Can someone plonk a LAV-25 turret on to a M-114 C&R?  Curious how much it would look like a M800.

Graeme: A Delco turret very much plonked onto an M114 C&R. It looks a bit awkward but, I think would be 'do-able'.

The straight-sided M114 C&R was 2.33 m wide (versus 2.5 m for the sloped-sided LAV-25/Coyote). But, the Delco turret ring is something like 1.5 m so it should fit.

Thanks!

That's a bit bigger than I thought it'd be on a M114.

Have you got a Marder 1A3/1A5 turret you could scale on to the M114?

Edit - removing the rear turret basket makes it a little more proportionate. I'm assuming the 114 would be converted to rear engine drive

Ja aber ... she looks a bit top-heavy  :o

Still, the overall effect is very similar to the Lynx II C&R that I've been procrastinating on. Thanks for the nudge

Yep, that helps.

Include the Milan ATGM on that turret too to give some additional firepower:

Good idea. And that begs the question: Is Graeme's intended mission still C&R?

BTW: I forgot to mention that the Marder turret I plonked on was actually pinched from Didi's 1/35 build of the Jordanian 1A3:

Hi Greg,

I'll have a stab at some for you.  Need to finish a load of profiles I'm doing for the MR build, but can probably start on these this week

Okay.  I used the Wirraway as my "template", so I've gone with a variety of schemes.  I also thought the closed gunners canopy didn't look right on an Allied aircraft, where open gun positions or turrets were the norm, so I've made a few changes.

New Guinea 1943

Quick and very dirty.

Graeme: I based the proportions on a 1/72nd scale CF-116D forward fuselage mated to a 1/100th scale A-10 wings and aft-end. (You didn't mention tailplanes but I've assumed that you wanted the Warthog's twin tails as well).

Anyone feel like profiling a Ukrainian AV-8B/Harrier?

Here you go, Greg.
Damn, those look nice!

For some reason, an AV-8A fitted with a Harrier GR.3 nose and an ARBS replacing the LMTS sounds suitable for Marine reserve units and suitable for donating to needy nations.
