I did a bunch of Defiants back in the day, including tropicalised Griffon, Sabre and Centaurus engined examples.

I loved your radial-engined Defiants, Mav. Those were gorgeous.
Cheers,

Ta for that Logan. I recall those and the Soviet examples being well received back in the day.

I think it could've looked a lot like the Griffon Hurricane installation
(scroll down about half way)

I wonder though if it should have a bigger fin, along the route that the Spitfire took.

Not Griffon-engined, but what might have been a poor fighter MIGHT have been a good low-level ground-strafer, given the "protection" in the rear that the four-gun turret provided. A-T guns courtesy of over-run Luftwaffe aerodromes with captured Ju-87G Kannon.

Hauling that much "heavy metal", I think a re-engining with a more powerful engine would make a lot of sense. Then, of course, you could go the "still not enough firepower" route and add rocket rails outboard of the cannon pods.
