Hello!
I have not an OOB kit model since Margaret Thatcher was prime minister, let alone a whiff, but my friend tc2324 recommend this site as repository of whif profile talent so here goes
I am an alternate history fan and I'm writing a AH TL here
http://www.counter-factual.net/upload/showthread.php?t=17719 (http://www.counter-factual.net/upload/showthread.php?t=17719)
in which 1977 Israel is sent back in time to May 1940 - to rescue the Jews and defeat the Nazis
[grovel] I would like some anachronistic schemes of some post-war aircraft to liven it up - they ain't necessary, but I love the many unusual schemes you find on here and whatifmodeler.com - and I'm too serially incompetent at digital art to do them myself
the aircraft in question are the P-51D, Spitfire IXe, B-17G Fortress, Meteor T-7, Ilyushin Il-10, Nord Noratlas, Curtiss P-40C, Grumman F4F
also there is the fictitious Avions Marcel Bloch MB-158
and the fictitious T-34 "Churchill" with CN-75 75mm gun
see attachments below
if you are interested drop me a PM - some remuneration may be in order if I get to keep the .jpegs or .pngs [/grovel]

You could also post your AH TL in our Story area (http://beyondthesprues.com/Forum/index.php?board=5.0).
BTW, here is a slightly different Bloch for you to consider:

Could you give us some particulars about the sorts of schemes or mods you had in mind for those aircraft?
A minor suggestion on your reverse-engineering plans: bun the Bristol Proteus and stick with the Tyne -- the RW Canadair CL-44 was basically just a Tyne-engined Britannia anyway ;)

Thanks for the details, vh2. Here's a quickie MB 158 (based on an MB 155 by Pierre-Andre Tilley).

Cheers! Now a stab at a Curtiss Hawk 81A-1 of 3° Esc GC II/5 of the Armée de l'Air in 1940. This is based on a Hawk 75A sideview by Thierry Dekker.

excellent - not so much a what if, as an if only....
