Ottoman Armor II

I started this in the desert warfare GB, but never finished.  :(

With BdaB's permission I am bringing out of shelf queen status for this GB

Here it is as of right now with the turret put on and the barrels in for photo purposes:

Exhausting all exhaust options:

Decided to go with the tall plain one  :)

There's something about that round turret that just seems to draw you in!

Looking very much forward to seeing this beauty!

Steam power? If so, there are two main reasons for 'tall' stacks: increased draft through the firebox;
raising smoke, sparks and soot above the vehicle/vessel. The second wouldn't be a concern in a
rear-boiler tank, but the vulnerability of a tall stack in combat would affect the first, powered blowers
are a better way to maintain/increase draft. The original Monitor had demountable telescoping
stacks that were used for cruising and picket duty, in combat they were removed and blowers were used
to keep the air volume up.

- Son of Steam Engineer Mode now Off.  ;)

A little Fiat 2000 influence, eh?  ;)

... and a bit of Indiana Jones (with curves), jcf. ;)

But, please don't be upset by my words, taiidantomcat!
I like your build!
Go on, I'm curious.

JCF, would you believe I had never even heard of the Fiat 2000!?  :o More accurate for the period than I realized!! And Max the Indiana jones tank was a big influence so no offense taken :) :)

I'm trying to paint this using Queeg's style:

A very runny and deliberately watery first coat of green and then a sloppy black wash (hope I'm doing this right!) LOL

sorry I have been light on the updates and comments for my fellow GB participants. Work is kicking my butt lately.
