Zod's Mecha

Thought I'd get a good start while I am at home. 1/48 kit combining the Tamiya m26 turret,and the Gaso.Line mecha. I did not care for the schmallturm turret that came with the resin kit. I guess I should add some wires for the IR device on the turret.

Straight up front:  I am no Sci-Fan nor am I anti-Sci-Fi.

But I do find these builds tremendously fun to watch being built up.

The weld beads on the hull are from Archer Transfers.

Some grab handles from wire were added.

Ooo, this is gonna be fun! Good call on the turret Zod. The Schmalturm looks a little too 'schmal' and its turret-top sensor too modern. The M26 turret hits the Goldilocks spot  :)

Thanks Brian. I like the Tamiya field blue shade.

Here is an updated pic with the brown wash. usually,I do a pin wash. But it usually looks stained.. :-[ This time,I applied an acrylic wash over the entier model.This is the only good pic I was able to take.

I think I will have to use the wet method for the pigments. The dry method looks wrong.
