Folks,

One of our well known members (Evan - aka elmayerle) has been forced by circumstances to offload 80+% of his stash.  Rather than see it all go to a non-modeller, he would like to see it go to someone in the hobby.  To this end, please see the list below and contact Evan directly.

His comment to me:

Quote
I essentially have until next Saturday to clear out one wall, floor to ceiling of that storage locker.  If arrangements could be made for someone to rent a U-Haul van and pick them to take care of and distirbute to buyers for, say, 10% of gross proceeds, that would be best.  I would recommend at least a 19-foot one as, IIRC, that's the shortest that comes with a loading ramp and that's a big help, as I know from experience.

Evan please step in here if there is anything else you want to say/add.

Seriously though I'm sorry to hear of Evan's change in circumstance, I only wish I could help by taking some of these off his hands.

Asking for me, too!

I will leave any specifics to Evan though will say that the change of circumstances is not related to his personal health.

Obviously, there is some less-good news in that statement but that Evan is generally healthy is very good news! :D

Are there any members in Texas, preferably the Dallas Ft Worth area that might be able to volunteer to assist Evan with the stash and transfer of it?

There are a number of kits in the list I wouldn't mind buying but;

a) Postage would be a killer, &

b) I'm light on for cash.

Would one of the moderators please end this thread.  My circumstnaces have changed and we are keeping the two storage lockers here in Fort Worth, just letting the one down near Waco go (that hurt, there were some rarities there I wasn't able to retrieve - like a couple 1/48 Ye-8 kits).

Anyway, I'm back and working again (contract, remote, for a company in SoCal - I'm not allowed to say who) and it's interesting work.

Glad to hear you’re okay! What about a hobby shop? They might be able to resell some.

In the "immortal" words of Edward M. Kennedy from 1969, "I'll cross that bridge when I come to it."  Seriously, I do need to sort through t hem, but in a controlled manner as there is some stuff I definitely don't want to let go (like from the now defunct Italian operation of SEM Models).

Glad you are back with us Evan. I always enjoyed your thoughts and comments.
Work in progress ::

I am giving up listing them. They all end up on the shelf of procrastination anyways.
