Title: PlusModel.cz
Post by: Jeffry Fontaine on December 05, 2012, 04:04:32 AM
PlusModel.cz (http://www.plusmodel.cz/) from the Czech Republic produces a lot of esoteric models, accessories, and diorama bits in 1:72nd, 1:48th, and 1:35th scales that may appeal to some more than others.  I have recently added a few PlusModel items to my stash in the form of the M3A4 Utility Handcart (http://www.plusmodel.cz/karta_en.php?id=495) which is a complete kit on its own if you are looking for something out of the ordinary to model.  Other PlusModel items that caught my eye were the accessories such as the M1 2.36" (60mm) Rocket Launcher, aka Bazooka (http://www.plusmodel.cz/karta_en.php?id=379) which comes with rockets, rocket carriers, and storage tubes in addition to the rocket launchers in carry and ready to fire conditions.

Hyperscale has a review of three Aero Line products courtesy of Phil Parsons at this link to get you acquainted with the quality of the product: R-60M/MK (AA-8 Aphid) and UZR-60 Resin Missiles (http://www.hyperscale.com/2012/reviews/accessories/aeroline4014reviewpp_1.htm).

I am impressed with the third item that is reviewed as it is a model of the captive carry training missile and it comes with a very nice shipping and storage container.  What can I say, logistics things always interest me and you can never have enough unique box shapes in the stash.  The missile shape has a choice between different seeker heads and an environmental cover and the features look very impressive in this small scale.

AERO Line appears to be one of the product lines offered by Plus Model (http://www.plusmodel.cz/news_en.php).  If you want to see more on this product or other items go to Plus Model (http://www.plusmodel.cz/news_en.php) to continue shopping.  Be warned!  They do have some very neat things to offer :)

The one with the box could provide a basis for an internally carried missile.

That will most certainly be a winner no matter how you go about it.

I may practice on the 1/350 Trumpeter versions. They're relatively quick builds and the scale hides many sins. Here's my version with a cowl of sorts for the engine (https://beyondthesprues.com/Forum/index.php?topic=10122.msg)

So seeing this box art, I was really hoping we had found something that Lars of Khee Kha would find very useful. He's been showing me all these floatplane photos over the last couple of weeks so I sent him an email of it as I knew he is very critical of what model manufacturers offer in their kits. He was over the moon when he saw the artwork, it depicts exactly what he's been telling me ---- but guess what  ----- he found some sprue shots of the kit, in his words, the floats are kakka!
See for yourselves ---  nothing like the artwork.
