Hi everyone,
I'm strarting to assemble this kit:

to make this F-5A which was with the Air Force Logistics Command from 1974 until 1986, based at Kelly AFB at the San Antonio ALC. In 1988 it was delivered to Greece.

That’s going to look great. Is that ship in the photo painted grey or natural metal?

The F-5 in the photo is definitely grey, looks like light gull grey (but my screen could be deceiving me). :smiley:

My first thought was ADC grey but like you said computer screens can throw it off.

I'm disappointed with the kit, I'd have thought seeing as they gone to that extreme with the parts count, they would have made it like the real thing. Like the wing all in one piece  ;)

Seeing the F-5 without tailplanes, I kinda want to put a delta wing on it. And some canards. Or something along the lines of HiMAT...

That's a cool idea, swapping the wings/tailplanes!  :smiley: I was thinking something more Mirage-ish, though.

I remember having a toy that looked much like your Eagle Claw. It used a bellows that you would strike to propel it into the air. I wanna say it was made by Hot Wheels, but I can't remember the name. I believe they had an earlier version that would make "cars"/hovercraft race on the floor.
