Bleriot 125 / DHC twin fuselage, red Re: hybrid aircraft/animals and others
« Reply #925 on: June 03, 2017, 02:33:14 AM »

I recently discovered the existence of the quite extraordinary Bleriot 125 :

and was driven to try out a canadian version (as if the backup story was that the Bleriot inc. engineer responsible for that design had emigrated to Canada, joined DHC, and reactivated the concept using material existing there) :

note the slight nose asymetry ase well   ;D

Brilliant! Love your push-pull Beaver pod and the long and short Twotter noses  ;D

more LP-cover inspiration from the 70s :

I showed you that one already in the past

it was haunting me for some time, because there are ideas there that are just too beautiful not to try them ;
and I finally got the ingredients together, and then found the guts to go at it  ;) :

This layout is almost "logic" : choosing radial engines is meaning "we don't care of aerodynamic drag, raw power will win", so this large piano fuselage has no problem at all... ;)

another kitbash : Antonov Colt (of which the floats were used for a Wyvern seaplane)
with Twin Otter wings (of which the floats will be used in the near future ... and the fuselage is in the Blériot-125 / DHC remake):

This airplane looks so perfect that your talent is not featured, like a model Out Of the Box, while this is an incredible mix, requiring uneasy adaptations for sure. Congratulations (and thanks for the explanation "where do the parts come from?" not easy to guess) ;)

That's one really neat yellow hybrid! I especially like how that Antonov canopy gives it an almost French character.

You've shown that the whole is greater than a sum of the parts!

another kitbash, with another part of the An-2 : I had a Wellington fuselage (minus the tail, used with the wings for a violin experiment earlier in this thread) and a Halifax tail in my reserves,

so here are the remainings of the day

That fuselage from a chinese kit was in my remainings since long ago I used the wings for a flute, and it met a recently bought B57B (the Revell box-scale one) : the encounter produced a Trident-like jet plane

and then what to do with the B57B fuselage? well, let's try for a dragster-like road vehicle :

Turbojet in the fuselage to get the thing up to height and speed - and ramjets in the wings for high speed?
Nice research plane! :)
