Toying with Big Boy and Southern Pacific class GS-4 4449 type aka Golden State
1st and 2nd are the real things
3th is 4449 with Big Boy config, a huge locomotive
4th is Big Boy lightly steam lined

But possibly one change they DID consider but the British car-buyer might see it as unacceptable.
Actually the back looks a bit like a German design of that time (was it Opel?).
