Title: Question about metal barrels for armor models
Post by: Doom! on September 10, 2012, 10:27:52 PM
For those of you who have used metal barrels on your armor builds, I have always wondered if they are heavy enough to where it makes it difficult to pose the gun in an elevated position without having to glue it that way?

It also depends on the barrel!  Say a 75mm for a JagdHetzer38t has almost no effect where a 155mm barrel for a M109 (Long or short) is a substantial increase in weight.

Generally you have to add a counterweight inside the turret if you want a large sized metal barrel to remain moveable ....... as Mark mentions there's no issue with small tubes.
