Riasroc 1-u4f. Waterborne race plane
« on: January 08, 2016, 12:39:07 PM »
I know, lame name for an air plane title, will hopefully come up with something better.
It's a 1/144 mitsuwa model that I got from Frank(thanks again, )
Outer wing floats are f-14 fuel tanks for now , will make one center floats.
I think I need some more rudder , not sure if winglets going to outboard floats would be good enough
Canopy is f-18 I had laying around. Somehow I lost the original. What is on there now is just a placeholder
Until I figure out what I will use.
It will be a pusher prop, maybe contra rotating props.

I forgot a question: will the propeller be on top of a fin or pylon (not to hurt the water)?

Love the flipped and reversed Corsair! I think the F-18 canopy works just fine. Curious to see what you will do with the engine and prop.

Thanks for the speed birds link, awesome!

This looks great! Huge improvement over the "meh" feel of the original kit. What's the float from?

I agree - the F-18 canopy looks good.

Outer floats are drop tanks from a f-14, center tank is two pieces of 0.040 sheet styrene glued together and sanded to shape.
